You should add Acai supplements into your life

Oprah Winfrey has a lot of weight to throw around; not in the physical sense, but in the sense that when she says something, the world listens carefully.

So it was when she introduced Dr. Perricone’s book — The Perricone Promise — to the world. Dr. Nicholas Perricone had toiled over his well researched book for quite a time, and had filled it — to the best of his knowledge — with the cutting edge of knowledge and research at that time. One particular part of the book that Oprah dwelled upon was the list of so called super foods. Super foods are those which contain more nutrition per unit weight than other, normal, foods. Top of this list was the acai berry from Brazil.

Acai is not sold in its natural state — it simply can’t be stored or transported like this — so sales of acai supplements went through the roof. The world had decided that the benefits of acai berry supplements are the best way to get the nutritional goodness into our families, our children, and our diets. Acai supplements benefits– rightly — were seen as a wonderful way to help us eat right, get healthy and stay healthy.

acai berry supplements are not the only way to get your hands on acai, but it is one of the better ones.

Acai Berry contains many essential nutrients

We talk glibly about super foods and about how good they are for our delicate bodies, but nobody really explains just what a super food actually is. And why is it so beneficial to include a variety of super foods in your diet?

Super foods contain a lot of the nutrients that our body requires, and eating them means that many of our dietary requirements can be me without having to consume a lot of foods. Sometimes — with a restricted or bad diet — our bodies don’t get enough of some of these nutrients no matter how much we eat, so it is important that they are topped up some how. A super food is an excellent way to top up these nutrient levels.

The acai berry is a fruit harvested in the Amazon Basin. It is a very important fruit within the context of this article. Read on…

The acai berry is quickly rising to the top of the pile as a super food, with some nutritional and medical experts already recommending it as a must-have. The acai berry contains a lot of essential omega fatty acids, a lot of amino acid and a lot of antioxidants. Put together these ingredients can do your body a lot of good. No wonder there is a huge demand for acai berry products across the world.

Monavie was marketed in a misleading way

Monavie juice is a type of acai juice that has been the subject of a great deal of scandal lately. Here I will examine some of the reasons why the press and Monavie’s own customers have turned on the product.

Monavie juice was launched in 2005 by Monarch Health Sciences. Monarch Health sciences was founded in 2003 and is essentially a multi-level marketing company that distributes diet and weight loss supplements. Monavie LLC is an offshoot of this parent company and was created solely for the distribution and marketing of the Monavie product as a dietary supplement.

Physicians and nutritionists have claimed that Monavie’s health and nutritional benefits are unproven; certainly the claims made by the distributors cannot be proved. One great hurdle for the Monavie team was to explain why their product was mixed with so many other juices. There is no good answer for this.

Monavie has understandably suffered heavily under this criticism and alternative acai juices like Amazon Thunder have taken its place. These other acai juices have the distinct advantage that they contain appreciable amounts of acai, they retail at under half the price, and they don’t have a history of lying to their customers and fans. Easy to see why customers are flocking to Monavie’s competition!

Acai appears most commonly as Acai juice

I can usually tell when something is healthy or not just by tasting it. I can taste fat in products and it makes me feel a little ill; fruit on the hand always tastes good and clean.

My taste buds went into overdrive when I tasted the acai juice that I had ordered over the Internet I have heard people talking about acai for ages — I even saw Oprah praising its great qualities — and I just had to try it. So much adoration from so many quarters simply cannot be without merit, I thought. And I was not wrong at all. This stuff is truly great.

First off, it tastes great. Second, it comes as an acai juice which is essentially the berries but in more manageable form. Thirdly medical studies have shown without question that acai juice is extremely good for your overall health.

Anti oxidants help the body to stay healthy and fight infections and diseases. It has been shown that high intake of anti oxidants can actually help to prevent the onset of cancer and diabetes. My doctor even told me that acai juice could combat the onset of premature aging. How’s that for an impressive accolade from someone who knows what he is talking about?

Find the beauty of the Acai diet

We’ve heard a lot about them in recent months, but just what are acai berries? This short article attempts to address this question that is on a lot of peoples’ lips.Acai berries are harvested almost exclusively as food in the Amazon region of Brazil. Whilst the acai diet may be growing in popularity in the US and Europe, it is interesting to note that some of the people living around those areas where acais are prominent have an acai diet almost by default: the acai berry makes up 42% of the total food intake by weight. It goes without saying that acai growth is hugely important for those people and provides their food and their income.Because the acai berry travels so badly and degrades so quickly after harvest, it is rarely eaten in its natural form outside of the immediate region in which it is grown and harvested. It is exported across the world as acai juice or acai fruit pulp. Those wanting to take up the acai diet will do well to get their hands on the fruit itself! You may have to be content with delicious acai juice in your acai diet. Not a bad compromise at all, in my view!

Acai is the new fad in southern Brazil

Acai berries – what is it?

Acai berries are harvested as food. In a study of three traditional Caboclo populations in the Amazon region of Brazil, acai palm was described as the most important plant species because the acai fruit makes up such a major component of diet (up to 42% of the total food intake by weight) and is economically valuable in the region (Murrieta et al., 1999).

The juice and pulp of acai fruits (Euterpe oleracea) are frequently used in various juice blends, smoothies, sodas, and other beverages. In northern Brazil, açaí is traditionally served in gourds called “cuias” with tapioca and sometimes sugar. Acai has become a fad in southern Brazil where it is consumed cold as açaí na tigela (”açaí in the bowl”), mostly mixed with granola – a fad where acai is considered as an energizer. Acai is also widely consumed in Brazil as an ice cream flavor or juice.

As acai deteriorates rapidly after harvest, its raw material is generally only available outside the immediate growing region as acai juice or acai fruit pulp that has been frozen, dried acai, or freeze-dried. However, several companies now manufacture acai juices, other health drinks, and sorbets made from acai berries, often in combination with other fruits.
